How to add a Signature in Gmail?

An email signature makes up a few lines of text that is placed at the bottom of all outgoing mail. What this email signature contains? It provides you name, website, company, phone number, and even a short elevator pitch or favorite quote.You can use the space o share essential contact information and to advertise both yourself and your business in a condensed form.

It is easy & simple to set up a signature in Gmail.

You can "Insert an Email Signature in Gmail"

(1) Click the Settings gear in your Gmail toolbar.

(2) Select Settings from the menu.

(3) Go to General.

(4) Make sure the desired account is selected under Signature.

(5) If you want to put your signature in the text field,then always keep in mind that try to keep your signature to  about five lines of text. There is automatically includes the signatures separator and Gmail does it.

If you want to add formatting or an image, then use the formatting bar. And if you cannot see the formatting bar, start a new message using rich-text formatting.

(6) Click Save Changes.

(7) When you compose a message, you can see that Gmail will insert the signature automatically. Now you can edit or remove it before clicking Send.

You can "Move Your Gmail Signature Above Quoted Text in Replies"

(1) Click the Settings gear icon in Gmail.

(2) Select Settings from the menu that has appeared.

(3)  Go to the General category.

(4) Make sure Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it is checked for the desired signature.

(5) Typically, add the standard signature separator to the signature manually.

(6) Click Save Changes.
