Adobe Summit Keynote 2022 - Metaverse, AI, Real-Time CDP, Personalization, And More

The Adobe Summit began with an announcement on how the company would help creative and marketing teams create metaverse experiences for its customers. There were significant announcements for those still focused on the real world, including advances in real-time customer data, functionalities from the Sensei AI engine, the release of a new digital learning platform, improved workflow automation, a healthcare industry version of Adobe Experience Cloud, and new ecosystem partnerships ranging from Anaplan to Walmart.

Personalization has progressed beyond merely offering a suitable digital experience to each consumer through the appropriate channel, according to Anil Chakravarthy, President of Adobe's Digital Experience Business. He explained:

Today and going forward, success will be defined by a new standard, and that is the ability to achieve personalization at scale. That means delivering those relevant experiences in real-time for every customer on every channel, both online and offline, including the immersive experiences that continue to grow in prominence, and in a way that respects their privacy and delivers value to them each time.”

The metaverse story naturally centered on positioning for future possibilities rather than what is already available in Adobe Experience Cloud and Creative Cloud. There were sneak peeks at the future Substance 3D Modeler and augmented reality (AR) shopping tools, as well as mention of assisting users in the building of transferable virtual personalities and goods across many immersive experiences. 

Adobe claims it is working with NVIDIA, Coca-Cola, Epic Games, and Nascar to establish "the key ingredients of metaverse preparedness," and it encourages others to start generating 3D and immersive content right away. A new Metaverse Playbook illustrates how agencies and brands can adjust to the new demands of 3D and immersive design.

Integration of digital interaction data with Adobe Target customer profiles is one of the new features of Real-Time CDP. The goal is to provide large-scale personalization in milliseconds across millions of online experiences. Brands may connect to Adobe's edge network to improve response times. With an interface to Adobe Commerce, real-time commerce data will be added later this year. 

OneTrust's permission management system has been integrated into the Adobe Experience Platform, making it easier to respect privacy choices. B2B marketers may benefit from a Real-Time CDP version that provides predictive knowledge about a user's desire to purchase, as well as integration with Adobe Marketo Measure.

The real-time CDP platform is already finding popularity with companies, including Coles, an Australian grocery and retail chain, and General Motors, an automobile manufacturer.

Adobe Sensei, the AI platform used by over 80% of Adobe Experience Cloud customers to drive digital experiences, has added numerous new features. Product suggestions live search results, smart budget forecasting and deployment, cross-channel budget optimization, and intelligent content development and delivery are all examples of these contact points. Specifically:

  • Marketo Engage will have sales opportunity projections later this year, based on combining predictive lead and account scoring to data insights from Adobe Real-Time CDP.
  • Attribution AI models that aid in the difficult work of assessing campaign effectiveness across the customer lifecycle and the marketing mix to determine ROI.
  • Adobe Commerce offers AI-driven product suggestions and highly tailored search results.

 

Workfront integration

Workfront's integration into the Adobe family is progressing, with Workfront, Creative Cloud Enterprise, and Adobe Experience Manager Assets all working together to improve content production and delivery workflow automation. Meanwhile, the job management application now has financial and budgeting features thanks to a new relationship with Anaplan. A new Adobe Acrobat Sign connection for Workfront Fusion makes e-signing easier to include into Adobe Workfront business operations.

Adobe Learning Manager is the company's first foray into the learning management field. This cloud-based learning platform makes it simple to create digital learning experiences, and it's designed to be used not only by workers but also by partners and customers. Domino's Pizza, which is utilizing it for employee training, and Publicis Group, a worldwide communications company, have built a certification program in programmatic advertising planning and purchasing, as well as using it to support digital learning for its Open Apprenticeship program.

Developers may now build and deploy cloud-native web apps on Commerce and Experience Manager, as well as establish headless commerce capabilities and add APIs for PDF services, thanks to new developer tools. SDKs for Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Real-Time CDP integrations are also available.
